Infosys Epidemic Surveillance Suite is a Regional Finalist at the 2020 Call for Code Global Challenge

The Infosys Epidemic Surveillance Suite (IESS) is a Regional Finalist at the 2020 Call for Code Global Challenge. Created by David Clark Cause and supported by IBM, United Nations Human Rights and the Linux Foundation, Call for Code is the largest tech for good initiative of its kind. It provides a platform for problem solvers to build solutions that address the most pressing issues of our time.

Since its launch in 2018, the Call for Code movement has grown to over 400,000 developers and problem solvers across 179 nations. The program enables developers to connect, learn, share their expertise, and build open source solutions that can scale around the world and be deployed in individual communities. This year, the challenge focused on two key issues - climate change and COVID-19. IESS was shortlisted as a regional finalist under the COVID-19 category.

IESS leverages automation, blockchain technology and advanced data science techniques to help jurisdictions effectively track and slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The comprehensive platform digitizes contact tracing, automates end-to-end case management, enables collaboration, and generates actionable insights for public health agencies. It works with existing contact tracing mobile apps and helps jurisdictions collect, analyze, monitor, and disseminate critical COVID-19 information to public health officials for critical decision making.
