Starting with its core Source to Contract Administration Module, the solution enables organizations to integrate additional functionalities as their requirements evolve. Each module is ready for immediate adoption, minimizing ramp-up time and delivering benefits almost instantly.
The comprehensive IPPS platform includes the following components:
- IPPS Source to Contract: The primary platform built on a public SaaS that supports sourcing to contracts and Procure to Order processes, integrating with the Government of Canada's on-premise Financial Management systems to automate the end-to-end procurement process.
- IPPS Contingent Labour: A specific offering built on a public SaaS to support the Contingent Labor and Services Procurement process.
- IPPS Portal: A responsive and accessible portal that leverages various IaaS/PaaS/SaaS service offerings on the IPPS cloud. It includes content management capabilities to facilitate access to other IPPS components, knowledge artifacts, and the aggregation and publication of Tender, Award notices, and Contract History.
- IPPS Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM): A secure authentication component that addresses the need for advanced security and role-based access requirements. Utilizing Active Directory technologies as the core solution components, IPPS ICAM provides centralized authentication, single sign-on, automated application provisioning, and federation with organizational ICAM for internal buyers, other government departments, broader public sector procurement specialists, and internal system administrators.
- IPPS Cloud Services: Configured as an "Integration Platform as a Service" (iPaaS) from a leading cloud provider to facilitate integrations with various internal and external sources, aggregating Tender and Award notices to the IPPS portal.
- IPPS Service Desk: A robust bilingual (English and French) service support model delivered using the following technology components:
- Next-generation SaaS-based contact center solution for IVR and telephony.
- Microsoft Office 365 for email solutions.
- A proven industry ITSM platform for ticketing system automation, including user self-service for all tier solution support and request management.
- An intelligent enterprise chat solution for users to chat with Service Desk agents.

Modernizing Procurement for Public Services and Procurement Canada
The Infosys Public Procurement Solution was initially developed to modernize and automate Public Services and Procurement Canada’s (PSPC) efforts to centralize and streamline procurement processes across all federal government ministries and agencies.
The objective of deploying this e-Procurement Solution was to modernize public procurement practices, making them simpler, less administratively burdensome, and aligned with modern comptrollership principles. The key objectives of implementing this solution were:

The Infosys Public Procurement Solution (IPPS) extends the functionalities delivered for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), supporting the unique processes and accountability requirements of the public sector.
This bilingual solution (available in English and French) complies with AODA (WCAG 2.0) requirements, integrates with legacy technologies, and provides an ultra-secure architecture for confidential procurement. It also includes the functionality to manage the Government of Canada’s “procure to order” processes and features a patented approach to ensure successful adoption of the new system.
