Session description

Agencies have been exploring ways in which they can leverage AI technologies to become more efficient and deliver more proactive, personalized services to constituents. There are many different ways in which AI can be adopted– robotic process automation, machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning etc. RPA can be the first step to an agency’s AI journey. Robotic process automation (RPA) is a non-intrusive application of AI that allows organizations to configure computer software or a “robot” to execute a set of activities (process an application, manipulate data, trigger response etc.) based on pre-defined rules.

RPA can help state agencies rethink operations and become more efficient without risky and expensive IT transformation programs. For example, RPA can automate processing of citations received from the police department by scanning the paper form, processing the details and adding those to the customers’ record, and initiating necessary alerts - significantly reducing the time and effort required to process paper-based forms. It can automate the verification of identity documents, freeing up agents’ time and enabling them to focus on customer experience. Or, RPA can automate the basic procure to pay process for an agency, creating more bandwidth for employees to focus on customers.

Speaker profile

John Santucci John Santucci, Associate Vice President and Head of Consulting, Infosys Public Services

John brings 30+ years of consulting, transformation and systems integration experience with a track record of building IT organizations, as well as a proven ability to deliver consulting services to clients. He currently leads the management consulting practice for Infosys Public Services. Before joining Infosys Public Services, John was the head of the IT Transformation practice in The Hackett Group. Prior to that, John was a partner in KPMG Nolan Norton, an Associate Partner in Accenture and was the CEO of Siena Group, a startup consulting firm for a number of years. John has a strong architecture, IT strategy and portfolio management background, across multiple industries and domains.
