Eligibility systems depend on batch operations more than most people realize. Batch is where eligibility updates, interfaces, notices, renewals, reconciliations, and downstream transactions often come together. When batch is stable, it is invisible. When it fails, everyone feels it — case workers, trading partners, technical teams, and business stakeholders. This session is about making batch less fragile, more observable, and better insulated from common operational risks. We will use Connecticut as a practical example of how a state can move from recurring operational pain points to measurable improvement through an incremental, low-risk modernization path.
