Session description

Health plans have been investing in healthcare reform over the last few years. As the outcome of elections sets the tone for the next four years, how should health plans transform for 2013 and beyond?

Health plans need to go beyond business-as-usual actions and realize game-changing innovation to transform health care, while optimizing operational costs. Health care reform and the opening of individual markets offer new opportunities, but require focused strategies particularly for health insurance exchanges. Participation in various exchange options – public, private (health plan and third-party sponsored) – involves specific considerations for onboarding, marketing and outreach, education, premium billing and reconciliation, standards and compliance, and collaboration with respective exchange operators. A few crucial capabilities and a clear road map ahead are required to support these strategies and acquire new members.

Join us as health insurance and industry experts examine these and share practical insights to navigate the new reality.
