Alex Yang currently leads the Legacy Modernization Practice for Infosys Public Services (IPS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infosys, serving the public sector in the US and Canada. He is a tech evangelist and firm believer in the transformative power of technology when done right, in alignment with an agency’s mission. He views legacy modernization as an essential first step toward unleashing that transformative power, freeing up agencies from their technical debt, and amplifying citizen engagement and digital experiences through modern and emerging technologies be it cloud computing, AI or data science. It clears the path toward a digital government that is citizen-centric, secure, resilient, accessible and ever responsive to evolving mandates and constituent needs.
Alex has over 25 years of consulting experience partnering with senior business and IT executives to build differentiated business capabilities, enhance operational performance, and drive digital and modernization initiatives. He has led multiple transformation programs for large, complex organizations across industries including the public sector, healthcare, biotechnology and financial services. He is also a seasoned IT strategist and enterprise architect with a proven track record in strategy formulation, technology-enabled change, and portfolio optimization.
Alex began his consulting career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has held senior level positions across multiple start-up and niche consulting organizations to deliver tangible client value through innovative and tailored industry solutions.
Alex holds a master’s in business administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
