Consumer engagement is the key to succeeding in the unfolding ‘retail’ health insurance market. Come January 2014, health plans will get an opportunity to enroll millions of Americans who will be required to purchase health insurance. As health plans pursue the opportunity to compete for new members, successful strategies in the employer market don’t translate to the consumer market. Rethinking how to engage prospective members is critical now that health plans are able to directly enroll members to health insurance exchanges through their own websites or portals. Health plans need to build on their capabilities across the lifecycle of consumer engagement, from targeting and outreach to acquiring, educating and servicing in order to excel in satisfaction and retention.
In this AHIP webinar, health plan and industry experts will discuss innovative strategies for consumer outreach, acquisition and retention. The strategies will help payers maximize the opportunity and gain an edge in a highly competitive market.
