Session Description

As DMVs become more virtual and connected, they get access to a variety of data – from basic licensing, vehicle registration, violation and accident records to information about service usage across channels (online & in-person), data from IoT/connected devices, and data about customers’ online behavior (social posts etc.).

Effective analysis of all this data can enable DMVs to transform operations and service delivery. For example, they can recommend relevant services to customers proactively, identify high risk drivers, understand demand patterns for more efficient appointment setting & reduced wait times (occupancy analytics), classify fraudulent transactions more accurately, and predict traffic conditions more effectively, etc.

However, DMV agencies struggle to effectively analyze and translate these different data sets into action. The reasons for this problem include the inability of existing tools to manage different format/types of data, a lack of skilled analytics/AI experts & tools, effort-intensive data management, and the difficulty in collaborating with different agencies or departments to exchange data in a secure manner.

To help agencies address all these challenges, we have developed an automated data-science platform – Infosys Data Insights Platform (IDIP) – that allows agencies to turn their data into actions. IDIP is a cloud-based platform that automates the entire data to action journey – from automated ingestion of multi-format, multi-type data as is and data harmonization to automated development and deployment of machine learning models for actionable insights. With IDIP, DMV agencies can take their digital transformation to the next level and deliver more proactive, personalized data-driven services to customers.

In our session, we’ll demonstrate IDIP and discuss key use-cases, like how DMV agencies can use IDIP for occupancy forecasting to minimize wait time. Register to see IDIP in action.
