    The City of Orlando was saddled with an aging email system that required frequent updates, and was costly and cumbersome to maintain. Since the hardware was turning obsolete and several requisite features were unavailable, the city's administration sought to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
    Orlando worked with Infosys, Google's partner, to move to Google Apps for applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, and instant messaging solutions. The use of Google Apps improved Orlando's efficiency, helped realize US$200,000 annual cost savings, streamlined communication within departments, and enhanced mobility of applications.
